IV Glutathione

Why is Glutathione important?
Glutathione is an essential component of your cells, with low Glutathione levels; cells cannot perform many of their functions properly. Although Glutathione functions in dozens of roles in our metabolism, the major functions can be summarized in four areas:
• It is the major anti-oxidant produced by the body.
• Our immune systems depend on a steady supply of Glutathione. Without it, our immune defenses become weakened.
• It is important in detoxifying many substances.
• The major source of energy produced in our cells is derived from tiny structures called mitochondria.

Do healthy people need to take Glutathione?
Optimal Glutathione levels are important for everyone. Although you are hopefully in good health right now, Glutathione levels fall as we age, and are lowered by a great number of very common illnesses. There is a constant demand for Glutathione in our daily life; stress, pollution and infectious disease are all causes of Glutathione depletion. To those that exercise regularly, Glutathione is especially important to replenish to avoid injury, improve recovery time and keep your immune system strong.

It has been used to treat all symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke, ALS, irritable bowel, and chronic fatigue. Many patients have had profound improvements with respect to reduction of rigidity, increased mobility, improved ability to speak, less depression, and decreased tremor. Glutathione has the added benefit of protecting the brain from free radical damage, thus possibly slowing the progression of the underlying illness

What is recommended dose for Glutathione?
• As Anti-oxidant / Anti -aging
• Standard Dosage Computation:
• 10 mg per kg BW (Body Weight) per day
• Example: 50 kg Body Weight x 10 mg = 500 mg / day
• As a Skin White
• Computation should be in DOUBLE INCREASE DOSAGE
• 20 -40 mg / kg of Body Weight in 2-3 divided dose
• Example: 50 kg Body weight (median of 20 & 40 mg) = 1500mg / day in 3 divided dosages

Why is there a need to take Vitamin C while taking Glutathione?
This is to keep L-Glutathione in its absorbable or reduced form. This will release the potential of vitamin C’s derivatives’ whitening properties. That is why a person taking L-Glutathione should take 2-3 times more than the dose of L-Glutathione.

What is the duration of intake for skin whitening?
• Medium Brown Skin 1-3 months
• Dark Brown Skin 3-6 months
• Very Dark Skin 6-12 months
• Black Skin 2 years or more
• Once a person has acquired her desired skin color, the maintenance dose will just be 500 mg once a day.
Note: Vitamin C should be taken 2-3 times more than the dose of Glutathione to keep Glutathione in its absorbable (reduced form) and at the same time release the power of Vitamin C derivatives whitening properties

How long would it take to see visible results?
Taking in Glutathione is not a major surgical operation and even medical operation takes time to heal. Restoration on anything would take a lot of painstaking effort to produce a high quality and a good product. Glutathione would help you to be healthy and will not provide instant change and this is not an overnight fix; therefore you would undergo the natural process you reap what you sow. Results also vary on your metabolism and current skin color.
• NutriMaxx with Green Tea extract and Vitamin C and NutriMaxx with Grapeseed extract
• The average period where a user can see visible change in his/her skin color takes about 1-3 months.
• Again, this is not applicable to every user; however, there are cases in which some users already see results in as early as 3 weeks taking 2-3 capsules daily. In other cases they show slow development which results in 10-12 weeks before they have seen the results. Moreover, the best thing to do is not to miss a daily dosage

Is it fine to take a higher dosage to what is usually prescribed by the experts?
• Glutathione is a water-soluble chemical, meaning that if there would be an excessive amount of intake it would still be excreted through urine or bile. On the other hand, there is still no reported case or documentation about Glutathione overdose.
• There are cases that some users of Glutathione experienced allergies, palpitations and even diarrhea; these are because some of the brands have other chemical compositions that triggers negative side effect.

How does Glutathione process starts? Can it give me an equal skin tone all over?
The reason why our skin becomes white when using Glutathione is because it reverses the dark melanin pigments turning to a light pigments and reduces melanocytes which produces melanin. If you have less Melanin, you will have a whiter skin. Glutathione’s whitening process starts inside the skin (dermal layer) going outside (epidermal layer), and that’s the reason why it takes time to be able to see initial change in your skin tone. The whitening process goes head to foot which means you will have an even white skin tone in your whole body.

Are there any reports of toxicity or adverse reactions?
• No toxicities have been reported or suspected as being associated with Glutathione.
• Oral doses of up to 1000mgs daily are well tolerated. There are no reports of adverse reactions.
• However, there are some cases on Injectible Glutathione that after Intramascular administration, rare of skin rash have been reported which have disappeared after discontinuation of treatment

Are there side effects?
• Skin Whitening is the “side effect” of Glutathione. As per studies, there have been no noted untoward side effects of Glutathione.
• You can take Glutathione anytime of the day, preferably before meal time because it is best utilized when taken in an empty stomach.

Is it safe for people who have Thyroid problem?
Yes. “Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are associated with enhanced oxidative stress involving antioxidants. And it has a direct relationship with free radical formation and inverse relationship with levels of erythrocytes GSH and GSH peroxidase in human subjects.” Turkish Journal of Endocrinology & Metabolism

Is it true that it makes your hair stronger?
Studies show that the more Glutathione your body produces, for a longer period of time, the less damage occurs to your hair cells.

Is it FDA approved?
No compounded product is FDA approved in the narrow sense of the definition, but Glutathione is in the GRAS (Gnerally Regarded as Safe) category.

What about side effects of the drug & interactions with other drugs?
There are no significant side effects with Glutathione. It is contraindicated to give Glutathione while a person is taking cancer chemotherapy drugs like Cisplatin since Glutathione increases the ability of the liver to process chemicals. This may cause the chemotherapy to be less effective. Also you must not take Glutathione if you are taking anti-psychotic drug like Haloperidol.

What is Glutathione role in the body?
Reduced L-Glutathione, most commonly called Glutathione or GSH, is often referred to as the body’s “master antioxidant”. Composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, this tripeptide helps to detoxify the body and neutralize free radicals while supporting the immune system. It is known for its role in providing antioxidant protection for the body’s tissues, including the arteries, brain, heart, liver, lungs, and skin. Glutathione levels decrease as the body ages.

What makes Glutathione different compared to other whitening products?
What makes it different and powerful is the synergy between its various components. They are not only powerful individually, but also work together in what is known as antioxidant cycling. Antioxidant cycling is the term that describes how antioxidants work together to extend each other’s lives and make each other more powerful. And that’s also the reason why it is so effective to really whiten the skin in its long term use.

Are the whitening effects of Glutathione permanent?

Will my skin tone go back to its original color once I stop using it?
In taking care and maintaining something in our body, you must have a healthy habit and discipline to stay with the ideal effects that we want. Therefore, we must take 1 capsule a day for our maintenance and we should not expose ourselves from the harmful rays of sun.

Is the exposure to the sun will affect the whitening process or is it bad when I am taking Glutathione?
• Even though the sunlight was said that it provides vitamin D, everyone is aware of the depletion of the ozone layer, and anything that is over wouldn’t have a better result in the body. In fact too much exposure will increases the melanin pigments in the skin, thus, might delay the whitening process.
• It’s not really bad to be exposed to sunlight but at least have protection and be sure not to be exposed at a long period of time.

What if I am taking GSH but most of the time I am exposed to the sun, what will I do?
Use sunblock or sunscreen lotion that has an SPF of 45-60. It will protect you from the harmful effects of the sun.

Is it safe to be taken even by young teens?
Yes it is safe. Glutathione is considered as a supplement. It’s just as if you were taking your regular dose of vitamins everyday; therefore, it is safe to be taken by young teens who also want to be white. Henceforth, the right dosage should be taken into consideration.

Is it true that whitening of hair can also be the side effect in taking Glutathione?
This is NOT true. The only side-effect of taking Glutathione is the whitening of the skin. Capsules containing Tyrostat (L-Tyrosine) can make your hair white.

Is it much better to take Glutathione with an empty stomach?
Research has proved that it is much better to take the whitening capsules with an empty stomach. Because an empty stomach can fully absorb the pills contents compared when you have eaten your meal already because there are already substances present in your stomach that might hinder the process of absorption.

Why is GSH an anti-aging?
• Accumulation of free radical causes oxidative stress stimulating the peroxidation of the lipid components of biological membranes, the damage from which results in aging.
• Studies revealed that GSH level declines with aging, age-related macular degeneration and diabetes.
